We are the Flamingos, or simply, the ladies of the Lewisburg Baptist church.  I know you are wondering how we got our name. You see, when Flamingos work, they typically work together in a group and many times are found in deep waters. They are sifting sand through their feet trying to find food.  They work long hours and work so well when all together.   Their different shades ofpink make up their coat depending on how much carotene they have in their diets.  All of these characteristics are similar to the Christian woman: She works with other women, even when she is indeed water called the trials of life. Her diet is found in God’s word and the more she reads it and applies it to her life the more beautiful color of pink she is.  Flamingos stay near the water and we stay near Christ-Our Living Water.  We loved this concept so we decided to call ourselves the Flamingos.  We have had so much fun with this that we now have Flamingo spirit wear that includes t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies as well as our personalized shout out that sounds like: “Ca-Call, Ca-Call!” (Even though Flamingo's sound NOTHING like this!!) 

Here at the Lewisburg Baptist Church, we Flamingos meet monthly and discuss upcoming church events, Bible Studies, and Outreach opportunities. We are constantly seeking God’s direction in ways to serve and minister to our community.  We are always on the lookout for more fellow Flamingos to join our flock.  We love people and we love you!
